Whereas experience has shewn that much irregularity and confusion has taken place for want of a uniform regulation, pointing out the proper time to be observed by carpenters and masons, so as to suit the different seasons ... It was therefore ... resolved, by the Company of Master Builders, at their stated meeting, held on the 11th of March 1805, that in future the following regulations should be observed
