Celso Cittadini

Celso Cittadini (1 April 1553 – 29 March 1627) was an Italian grammarian and philologist.

He was the author of important works in which he demonstrated the emergence of Romance languages from Vulgar Latin and the also defined phonetic laws that highlight the correlation between certain Latin vowels and their equivalents in Tuscan. Provided by Wikipedia
