Richard Steele

Portrait by [[Jonathan Richardson]] Sir Richard Steele ( – 1 September 1729) was an Anglo-Irish writer, playwright and politician best known as the co-founder of the magazine ''The Spectator'' alongside his close friend Joseph Addison.
